Meridian FPV Gimbal

Meridian 2-Axis Iso View

The Meridian is a self-leveling gimbal module for small drones. It provides active stabilization in pitch and roll for the integrator's cameras. Control and feedback are carried over UART. There is no onboard compute — image processing is the responsibility of the host platform.

Interfaces

Power

5-12 V DC input, at least 200mA through a JST-GH connector. The gimbal passes input power directly to the camera.

UART (Control)

Primary control interface. The host sends pan/roll commands over UART; the Meridian returns position and status feedback on the same bus. Protocol details TBD.

UART (Expansion)

A second UART port is exposed by the MCU for peripheral expansion. This can be used to attach external sensors such as a barometer, GPS, or rangefinder. The MCU can surface data from expansion peripherals over the control UART feedback channel. Connector and protocol TBD.

Stabilization

The onboard IMU (accelerometer + gyroscope) feeds a stabilization loop running on the MCU. The Meridian maintains level horizon and compensates for platform movement without input from the host.

Camera

Compatible with most analog 19mm FPV cameras.

Compliance

U.S.-manufactured. NDAA Section 848 compliant.
